Produktai pyragui:
1 stiklinė miltų
150 g. rudo cukraus
1 a.š. kepimo miltelių
2 v.š. kakavos miltelių
2 kiaušiniai
2 v.š. romo
150 ml aliejaus
150 ml pieno
Produktai rikotos kremui:
1 stiklinė rikotos (aš naudojau liesą)
1 a.š. kakavos miltelių
1 v.š. romo
Cukraus pudros pagal skonį (aš dėjau 4 v.š.)
Gaminimo procesas:
I have to admit that I am not good at baking cakes, they taste good, but look really disappointing.. Maybe I just don't have enough practice. Well, maybe I will learn with time, but at the moment I can only take pictures and share the result that I have.
Ricotta cream I actually didn't plan making at all. I didn't even plan to buy ricotta, but while my husband was digging in some household stuff, I went to the dairy section and grabbed the first thing that caught my eye. WHile baking the cake I realized that I can actually use the ricotta that I have bought.
Products for the Cake:
1 cup flour
150 gr. brown sugar
1 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp cocoa powder
2 eggs
2 tbsp rum
150 ml of oil
150 ml of milk
Products for the Ricotta Cream:
1 cup ricotta (I used light)
1 tsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp rum
Icing sugar to taste (I used 4 tbsp)
Method:
Mix together all dry ingredients. In the other bowl mix eggs, oil and milk. Then mix well until combined dry ingredients with liquid ingredients.
Preheat the oven to 160C. Line the baking tray with baking paper, pour in the dough and bake it for about 45 minutes, or until the cake is done.
Mix well together all the ingredients for the ricotta cream.
When the cake cools cut the cake into two horizontal layers, spread cream over bottom layer and top with remaining cake layer. I left the cake for the night in the fridge before serving.

Na manau visai neblogai pavyko :) o ir tiesa tavo - meistriškumas ateina begaminant. Reikia tik pažiūrėti į Saulėtos virtuvės tortus, kurie kaskart vis įspūdingesni :)
AtsakytiPanaikintiNa tai man dar iki tokių kaip dabar Saulėtos virtuvės teks nemažai sugadint :)
PanaikintiYour cake looks moist and delicious! Yeah, I think cakes are my weak point in baking...guess we'll both keep practicing :)
AtsakytiPanaikintiYou are joking! Your cakes are so perfect and adorable! :)
PanaikintiThanks, I will try till I at least see some improvement..
The ricotta cream sounds great with chocolate!
AtsakytiPanaikintiThanks, Lisa, it was not too sweet, so we really liked it.
PanaikintiPractice makes perfect so I'm sure you'll soon attain perfection in your cakes. But honestly, this Chocolate Cake with Ricotta Cream of yours looks tasty and beautiful enough for me, so no worries!
AtsakytiPanaikintiThanks, Tina:) Maybe it looks better in pictures than it was in reality. Anyway I won't give up and will be practicing.
PanaikintiI am a huge fan of ricotta and use it in a lot of baking, it was a good choice for your recipe.
AtsakytiPanaikintiI don't usually use it, so it was a nice try and surprise. I really liked it.
PanaikintiI am definitely on a learning process when it comes to assembling layer cakes, especially the ones that are stacked with split layers I always seem to have some problem issues, but I will continue working on them.
AtsakytiPanaikintiThe pairing of a ricotta filling with the chocolate cake does sound like a delicious idea! I have not used ricotta in any of my baking yet, so this looks like a great recipe to start with.
Yes..I guess it will take some time and training :)
PanaikintiI just wanted something less sweet and cake with ricotta cream turned our exactly as I wanted at least in taste :)
I have never tried with chocolate cake with ricotta! That sounds really awesome. Well you are at least making cakes, unlike me who imagine baking can be a big disaster. ;-)
AtsakytiPanaikintiI don't believe you :) You make such amazing stuff that requires a lot of work and accuracy..
PanaikintiI've never tried a ricotta cream before...looks like a fun thing to play around with. Half the fun of cake baking practice is all the taste testing we get to do. ;)
AtsakytiPanaikintiNever tried ricotta cream in baking but your cake looks lovely!
AtsakytiPanaikintiWhy have I never been introduced to ricotta cream before? Oh well, better late than never - looks perfect with that moist chocolate cake :D
AtsakytiPanaikintiCheers
Choc Chip Uru
