Imbierinė Vištiena/ Ginger Chicken

Pagal/ Source MMsKitchenBites

One of my favorite theories is that Tyrannosaurus-Rex turned into a chicken (more scientifically said evolved into a chicken). Interesting, how long would take to finish chicken of a T-Rex size.

If you would be planning to visit me sometime and you don't eat chicken better let me know, because 99% chance that one of the main dishes will be chicken.. :)

Servings: 2-3

Products:

500 gr . chicken fillet
1 onion, finely chopped
4 tbsp soy sauce
4 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp freshly grated ginger
2 tbsp oil
0.25 cup water
1 tbsp sesame seeds
Salt and pepper to taste

Method:

Cut chicken into small pieces. Mix together soy sauce, vinegar, honey and ginger; add the chicken and mix. Leave chicken to marinade for at least an hour.

Heat the oil in a frying pan. Drain chicken, but reserve the marinade, add chicken to the frying pan and fry on all sides. Remove chicken from the frying pan.

Add the onion and the reserved marinade to the frying pan. Fry for about 15 seconds then add the water. Bring it to a boil and reduce the heat. Simmer for a few minutes until the onions are tender and sauce thickens. Then check the seasoning, add some salt and pepper to taste.

Finally add fried chicken, sesame seeds back to the fryinn pan and mix well. Remove from the heat and serve with rice.
