Mushroom Biryani (Rice with Mushrooms)/ Ryžiai su grybais

Pagal/ Source SinfulCurry

Porcijos: 4

Gaminimo laikas: apie valandą

Produktai:

250 gr. grybų (naudojau pievagrybius)
1 smulkiai pjaustytas svogūnas
200 g. pomidorų pastos
2 zalieji cili pipirai
0,4 a.š. ciberzolės miltelių
1 a.š. imbiero pastos
1 a.š. smulkinto česnako
0,5 a.š. malto cinamono, kardamono ir gvazdikėlių mišinio
1,5 stiklinės basmati ryzių
1 a.š. sezamo aliejaus arba sviesto
0,5 stiklinės kokosų pieno
Druskos pagal skonį
Aliejaus kepimui

Gaminimo procesas:

They say that time does not measure happiness, but happy people still should be aware of the date..
I almost gained a good habit to look on packaging for expiry date though faced another problem ..- to know how many days left till expiry of the product, you need to know what day is the day you are buying it .. Well, it's harder to track the dates when you aren't working.. They could hang the calendars in every store department with today's date ..
But everything ended happily, and I didn't buy the milk, which expires in just a few days (otherwise I would have had to make cheese).

Servings: 4

Cooking time: about 1 hr.

Products:

250 gr. mushrooms (I used button mushrooms)
1 onion, finely chopped
200 g. tomato paste
2 green chilies
0.4 tsp turmeric powder
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
0.5 tsp mixture of cinnamon, cardamom and clove powders
1.5 cups basmati rice
1 tsp sesame oil or butter
0.5 cups coconut milk
Salt to taste
Oil for frying

Method:

Wash rice several times with warm water and soak for one hour with two glasses of water.

Pour in coconut milk to the soaked rice, put some salt, sesame oil, and cook until the rice is about 3/4 done.

In a deep pan, heat the oil and fry chopped onion until golden yellow color. Add ginger paste, garlic, chopped green chillies and fry for a couple more of minutes.

Add tomato paste, turmeric powder, spice mix (cardamom, cinnamon and clove powders), cook it till the mixturegets thicker and the oil begins to separate. Then add salt, mushrooms, stir everything well and cook stirring until the mushrooms are cooked.

spread mushroom mixture evenly on the bottom of the pan, pour over it almost cooked rice, so that the rice did't have contact with the bottom of the pan. Put the cover tightly and on a low heat not stirring about 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked.

Remove from the stove stir everything well to mix both layers and serve.
