Carrot Kheer (Pudding)/ Morkų pudingas

Morkų pudingo gavau paragauti kelis šaukštus ir jis dingo. Pagal tai sprendziu, kad pudingas pavyko gerai. Nors pieno virimas uztuko, bet buvo verta.

Porcijos: 4

Gaminimo laikas:
apie valandą

Produktai:

4 vidutinio dydzio morkos
4 stiklinės pieno
4 v.š. cukraus (pagal skonį daugiau arba maziau)
Ziupsnelis malto kardamono
2 v.š. razinų
4 v.š. maltų anarkadžių riešutų

Gaminimo procesas:

I got only few spoons of carrot pudding and it's gone. So I think it was quite successful dish. Boiling milk took quite long time, but it was worth it.

Servings: 4

Cooking time: about an hour

Products:

4 medium sized carrots
4 cups milk
4 tbsp sugar (to taste more or less)
Pinch of ground cardamom
2 tbsp raisins
4 tbsp ground cashew nuts

Method:

Bring milk to a boil in a heavy bottomed pan, reduce the heat and simmer it stirring until the milk reduces by half.

Meanwhile, while the milk is boiling, boil carrots and mash them to a paste, mix with ground cashews.

Put sugar and cardamom to the boiling milk, mix continuously until the milk reduces till 1/4. ( For me whole boiling of milk took about an hour). Then add carrot paste, stir and increase heat. When the mixture starts boiling, remove from heat, mix the raisins in. Serve the chilled.
