Vegetables in Cashew Sauce/ Daržovės anakardžių padaže

Šiandien teko gaminti priespiečius įsidėti į darbą 2 dienoms, kadangi rytoj bus eilinis renginys ir namo grišiu vėlai. Nieko sudėtingo nesinorėjo daryti, todėl susiradau receptą, kurį buvau anksčiau nusižiūrėjusi ir išbandžiau.
Anakardžių riešutai tapo vienais iš mano mėgstamiausių, nes jie tinka tiek saldumynuose, tiek daržovių ar mėsos patiekaluose. Todėl aš turiu jų atsargose ir galėjau pasigaminti daržoves anakardžių padaže.

Produktai:

1 žalioji paprika
2 nemažos bulvės
0,5 žiedinio kopūsto žiedynai
4 v.š. anakardžių riešutų
1 nedidelis svogūnas
1 a.š. džiovintų vaistinės ožragės lapų
1 a.š. garam masala prieskonių
0,5 a.š. raudonųjų čili miltelių
0,5 stiklinės pomidorų pastos
1 a.š. kumino sėklų
1 a.š. imbiero pastos
1 a.š. smulkinto česnako
Aliejaus kepimui
Druskos pagal skonį

Gaminimo procesas:

Riešutus kartu su keliomis stiklinėmis vandens pavirti kelias minutes. Sutrinti į pastą.

Įkaitinti puode aliejų, sudėti kumino sėklas. Kai jos pradeda sproginėti sudėti svogūną, imbierą, česnaką ir pakepinti kelias minutes.

Sudėti visas daržoves, čili miltelius, garam masalą ir druską, viską gerai išmaišyti. Uždengti ir pavirti ant nedidelės ugnies apie 5 min.

Sudėti ožragės lapus, gerai išmaišyti. Sudėti pomidorų pastą, anakardžių pastą, pavirti kol viskas padažas užvirs ir patirštės.



Today I had to cook food for our lunch boxes for next two days at once. Tanother tion so I will come home late. I did not want to cook anything difficult, so I found the recipe, which I have found some time ago and was planning to cook.
Cashew nuts have become one of my favorite products, because they are suitable for both sweets and vegetables or meat dishes. So, I always have them at home and I was able to cook vegetables in cashew sauce.

Servings: 4

Cooking time: 35 minutes.

Products:

1 green bell pepper
2 large potatoes
0.5 cauliflower florets
4 tbsp cashew nuts
1 small onion
1 teaspoon dried Fenugreek leaves
1 teaspoon garam masala
0.5 tsp red chili powder
0.5 cup tomato paste
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp crushed garlic
Oil for frying
Salt to taste

Method:

Boil cashew nuts with several glasses of water for few minutes. Then grind them to a paste.

Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds. When it starts to pop add the onion, ginger and garlic and saute for a few minutes.

Add all the vegetables, chili powder, garam masala and salt, mix everything well. And cover and simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.

Add fenugreek leaves, mix well. Add the tomato paste, cashew paste, bring it to the boil and simmer gravy gets thicker.

  1. I never use cashews because thay are so expensive here. I might take a trip to the Indian supermarket and see if they have any raw. This looks really delicious I want to try it!!

  7. i love cashews too but i can never keep them in stock in my pantry coz my husband loves to munch on them while watching tv...lol
    but, as soon as i get another pack, i am going to try out all these cashew recipes i have been saving including yours...heheh
