Meksikietiškas kokosinis gėrimas- Horchata/ Coconut Rum Horchata

Pagal/ Source VittlesAndBits

Produktai:

1 stiklinė ilgagrūdžių nevirtų ryžių
1 l. šilto vandens
0,5 a.š. malto cinamono
1 stiklinė kokosų pieno
0,25 stiklinės neriebios grietinėlės
1 skardinė saldinto kondensuoto pieno (apie 350-400 ml)
1,5 a.š. vanilės ekstrakto
0,5 stiklinės romo (pasirinktinai, galima daryti ir nealkoholinį kokteilį)

Gaminimo procesas:

Until I haven't found this recipe I have never heard of such drink as a traditional Mexican sweet drink - horchata. As soon as I saw it I knew that I had to try it as the combination of products looked very tempting and sweet .. This cocktail can be made both with or without rum. I can only say- try it and enjoy!

Products:

1 cup uncooked long-grain rice
1 liter warm water
0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup coconut milk
0.25 cup cream
1 can sweetened condensed milk (about 350-400 ml)
1.5 tsp vanilla extract
0.5 cup rum (optional)

Method:

Mix the rice and warm water together, and leave it for half an hour. Reserving the water, drain, and place the rice in a food processor. Add the cinnamon and grind to the paste. Pour the rice paste back into the reserved water and keep at least 2 hours, stirring occasionally until the water becomes milky white.

Strain the rice through a sieve few times. Discard the solids. Add in coconut milk, cream, condensed milk, vanilla, and rum (if desired) to the 'rice milk' and mix everything well together. Leave the refrigerator at least 2 hours before serving.
