Vokiški Sausainiai su Prieskoniais/ German Cookies with Spices

Vienetai: 20

1 sausainio energetinė vertė: 114 kcal, riebalų 0,9 gr., cukraus 13gr.

Produktai:

2,25 stiklinės miltų
0,5 a.š. kepimo miltelių
0,5 a.š. malto imbiero
0,25 a.š. muskato riešuto
0,5 a.š. malto kardamono
0,5 a.š. cinamono
0,25 a.š. maltų juodųjų pipirų
3 dideli kiaušiniai
1 stiklinė rudojo cukraus
1 stiklinė cukraus pudros (persijotos)

Gaminimo procesas:

These cookies with spices is another treat that will perfect for Christmas, together with gingerbread muffins that I made before. I share these cookies with colleagues at work and they also said they reminded them of Christmas..

Makes: 20

Nutritional value of 1 cookie: 114 calories, 0,9 gr. fat, 13 gr. sugars

Products:

2.25 cups flour
0.5 tsp baking powder
0.5 tsp ground ginger
0.25 tsp nutmeg
0.5 tsp cardamom powder
0.5 tsp cinnamon
0.25 tsp ground black pepper
3 large eggs
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup icing sugar (sifted)

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180C, line the baking tray with baking paper.

Sift the flour, baking powder and all the spices. Separate one egg , put egg white aside.

In a bowl beat with electric mixer 2 eggs, remaining yolk and sugar till it becomes creamy. Stir in the flour and spice mixture. Mix and later kneed will you get a soft dough.

Although the original recipe said that with the spoon you can form cookies, the dough was better for rolling the balls between the palms. Place cookies on a baking tray leaving about 3 cm space between them, slightly flatten.

Bake for about 15 minutes, they do not change the color so watch them and turn the oven off as soon as the cookies become firm. Once removed from the oven leave them outside for 5 minutes, then transfer on the wire rack.

Whisk egg white with a wooden spoon then add in the icing sugar until you get the glaze. Pour the glaze over the cooled cookies and let it set.

  7. These spice cookies look delicious. I don't associate cookies with Christmas so baking these treats right now will not be a problem. Who can wait as long as Christmas for these anyway.
