Arbūzinis pyragas/ Watermelon Cake

Nežinau kokia jūsų reakcija perskaičius pavadinimą, bet kai aš pamačiau užrašą arbūzinis pyragas pirma mintis buvo 'WOW! Noriu! Tikrai pabandysiu." man arbūzai patinka, nors nesu dėl jų pamišusi, pati idėja kepti pyragą su arbūzu man pasirodė įdomi ir neįprasta.
Gerai, kad aš paklausiau to kas buvo nurodyta pastaboje prie recepto. Šis pyragas yra gana 'sunkus', tiksliai paaiškinti net nežinau kaip, jis nėra sausas, bet jį gana sunku valgyti vieną. Bet patiekiant su grietinėle arba ledais pyragas skanus. Arbūzų skonis nėra labai intensyvus, bet jaučiamas.


Porcijos: 10-12 gabaliukų

1 gabaliuko (1/10) energetinė vertė: 338 kcal, 11.7 gr. Riebalų, 23.8 gr. cukraus

Produktai:

2 stiklinės arbūzo minkštimo (be sėklų)
125 gr. sviesto
2 kiaušiniai
1.5 stiklinės rudojo cukraus
3 stiklinės miltų
0.5 stiklinės kokoso miltų (praleidau, pakeičiau paprastais miltais)
0.5 stiklinės pieno
1 a.š. kepimo miltelių
0.5 a.š. malto muskato riešuto
0.25 a.š. cinamono
0.25 a.š. maltų gvazdikėlių
1 a.š. braškių ekstrakto (aš nenaudojau)
0.5 a.š. druskos

Gaminimo procesas:

Orkaitę įkaitinti iki 180C. Kepimo formą ištepti riebalais, aš naudojau 20 cm apvalią formą.

Išplakti kartu sviestą, cukrų, kiaušinius, pieną, braškių ekstraktą ir prieskonius iki vientisos masės.

Įmaišyti šakute sutrintą arbūzą. Įsijoti miltus, kepimo miltelius ir druską. Viską kartu išmaišyti.

Supilti tešlą į paruoštą formą ir kepti apie 45-50 min. Patiekti su plakta grietinėle arba ledais.



I don’t know what your reaction was when you read the title of this cake, but when I saw the title ‘Watermelon Cake’ I thought 'WOW! I want it! Definitely have to try it.’ I like watermelons, but I am not crazy about them, but the idea of baking a cake with watermelon I found really interesting and unusual.
I am glad I listened to the note with this recipe and had some whipped cream . This cake is quite dense. I do not know exactly how to explain, it is not dry, but it is a bit difficult to eat one. Serving with cream or ice cream cake tastes really delicious. Watermelon flavor is not very intense, but you can definitely taste it.

Makes: 10-12 pieces

Nutritional value of 1 piece (1/10): 338 calories, 11.7 gr. fat, 23.8 gr. sugars

Products:

2 cups watermelon (seedless)
125 gr. butter
2 eggs
1.5 cups brown sugar
3 cups flour
0.5 cup coconut flour (I skipped it and substituted with plain flour)
0.5 cup milk
1 tsp baking powder
0,5 tsp ground nutmeg
0,25 tsp cinnamon
0,25 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp strawberry extract (I did not use)
0.5 teaspoons salt

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180C. Grease baking form, I used a 20cm round form.

Beat together butter, sugar, eggs, milk, strawberry extract and spices until smooth.

Crush watermelon with a fork and mix it in. Sift in the flour, baking powder and salt. Mix everything well.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking form and bake for 45-50 minutes. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
