Kokosinis Pyragas/ Macaroon Slice

Produktai:

125 gr. sviesto, kambario temperatūros
0,5 +0,5 stiklinės smulkaus cukraus
2 kiaušiniai, kambario temperatūros, atskirti
1 stiklinė miltų
1 a.š. kepimo miltelių
1 stiklinė kokoso drožlių

Gaminimo procesas:

Coconut cakes are quite popular in our house because my husband loves them the most. I made different coconut cakes before- Coconut Mango Cake, Chocolate Coconut Cake, Simply Coconut Cake, but when I found a this two-layer coconut cake recipe and wanted to try it too. It's hard to decide which one tastes the best, but all are really tasty and worth trying.

Products:

125 gr butter, room temperature
0.5 + 0.5 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs, room temperature, separated
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup dessicated coconut

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180C . Line 20x30 cm baking form with baking paper.

With an electric mixer beat together butter with 0.5 cup of sugar until light and creamy mixture. Add egg yolks and beat well. Carefully mix in the flour and baking powder.

Chilled the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Then press the dough pressed into the bottom of the baking form.

With an electric mixer beat egg whites until stiff peaks. Gradually add the sugar beating until the sugar is dissolved. Stir in the coconut.

Spread egg white mixture on the pressed dough. Bake about 25 minutes or until top is golden and a wooden skewer inserted in the middle of comes out clean.

Let it cool completely in the form. Then remove, cut into pieces and serve.
