Vištienos Salotos su Keptais Obuoliais/ Chicken and Roast Apple Salad

Pagal/ Source Recipes+

Nors sau vienai beveik nieko nesigaminu, savaitgaliais vis viena susigundau kokiomis salotomis ar lengvu patiekalu. Vištiena ir obuoliai skanus derinys, o pridėjus kepintus graikiškus riešutus ir mėlynojo pelėsinio sūrio padažą..puikios salotos.

 Porcijos: 4

Produktai:

3 dideli obuoliai, išimtom sėklom ir pjaustuti stambiais gabaliukais
20 gr. tirpinto sviesto
0,3 stiklinės graikiškų riešutų, kapotų
2 sultinio kubeliai
2 vištienos krūtinėlės
100 gr. sūrio su mėlynuoju pelėsiu
0,5 stiklinės grietinės
2 a.š. dižono garstyčių
2 a.š. citrinos sulčių
0,5 aisbergo salotos, plėšytos gabaliukais

Gaminimo procesas:

Although I almost don't cook anything when I am just by myself, on weekends I like to make some salad or a light meal. Chicken and apples is a really delicious combination, and addition of toasted walnuts and blue cheese blue dressing made this salad just amazing.

Servings: 4

Products:

3 large apples, seeded and quartered
20 gr. melted butter
0.3 cup walnuts, chopped
2 stock cubes
2 chicken breasts
100 gr. blue cheese
0.5 cup sour cream
2 tsp Dijon mustard
2 tsp lemon juice
0.5 iceberg lettuce, torn

Method:

Preheat the oven to 190C. Line baking tray with baking paper. Toss apples and butter, spread on a baking paper. Bake for about 15 minutes or until they become golden. Then add walnuts and bake for about another 5 minutes.

Bring to the boil stock cubes with 3 glasses of water. Add the chicken, reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes, remove off the heat, cover and leave for 5 minutes in a stock. Then take it out and leave to cool, then shed into pieces.

Process together blue cheese, sour cream, mustard and lemon juice. If the sauce is too thick, add 1 tablespoon of water. Mix the chicken, lettuce with apples and walnuts. Season to taste. Divide among the serving plates, drizzle with blue cheese dressing and serve.

  12. I love apples in salads, Medeja. Have you ever tried them in Macaroni salad? Oh so yummy as is this recipe. It reminds me of Waldorf Salad but with roasted apples. I usually just cut them upraw into teeny tiny pieces and throw them in. I love the surprise sweet crunch. I must try this though. Your way is intriguing:)

Thank you so much for sharing, Medeja...
