Avinžirnių, Mėtų ir Citrinų Salotos/ Chickpea, Mint and Lemon Salad

Vos kelių produktų salotos, bet turiu pripažinti, kad avinžirniai, citrinos ir mėtos tikrai tinka kartu.
Paprastai receptuose naudojami konservuoti avinžirniai, bet nesu jų gerbėja. Taip aišku paprasčiau, tereikia atidaryti skardinę, bet man skanesni virti avinžirniai.


Porcijos: 4

Produktai:

3 stiklinės (150 gr.) virtų avinžirnių
3 v.š. alyvuogių aliejaus
0,75 a.š. druskos
3 v.š. smulkintų šviežių mėtos lapelių
1 citrinos žievelė, tarkuota
2 v.š. citrinos sulčių
Maltų juodųjų pipirų

Gaminimo procesas:

Dideliame dubenyje sumaišyti avinžirnius, aliejų, druską, mėtas, citrinos žievelę ir sultis, pipirus. Paragauti ir pagal skonėį galima įdėti daugiau druskos, pipirų arba mėtų.


This salad needs only few products, but I have to admit that chickpeas, lemon and mint really taste good together.
Usually, in the recipes canned chickpeas are used, but I'm not a fan of them. It is certainly easier, you just have to open the can, but I find cooked chickpeas more delicious.

Servings: 4

Products:

3 cups (150 gr.) cooked chickpeas
3 tbsp virgin olive oil
0.75 tsp salt
3 tbsp chopped fresh mint leaves
1 lemon zest, grated
2 tbsp lemon juice
Ground black pepper

Method:

In a large bowl, combine chickpeas, olive oil, salt, mint, lemon zest and juice, and pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning, add some more salt, pepper or mint if required.

  4. I also like to make my own chickpeas instead of using canned ones though I have no problem with them. The salad looks very fresh and tasty.

    1. Thanks, Angie. I think own chickpeas are bit healthier, so if there is some time, it's better to cook them.

  8. Chick peas and lemon and mint are my favorite combination, Medeja. I usually use canned chick peas though. I know, I shouldn't be so lazy. Fresh chick peas are so much better!
