Pyragas su Žaliąja Citrina ir Imbieru/ Lime and Ginger Cake

Pagal/ Source TechnicolorKitchen

Pagaliau penktadienis.

Porcijos: 8-10

Produktai:

185 gr. miltų
15 gr. krakmolo
1,5 a.š. kepimo miltelių
1,5 a.š. malto imbiero
0,25 a.š. druskos
2 kiaušiniai
1 stiklinė (240 ml.) grietinėlės
175 gr. cukraus
1 a.š. vanilės ekstrakto
2 žaliųjų citrinų žievelė, tarkuota
1 v.š. žaliosios citrinos sulčių
Cukraus pudros, pabarstymui

Gaminimo procesas:

Finally it's Friday. It seemed that this week there is so much work and so little results. This week starting from Monday just seemed endless, so it finally I am really glad that not much left until the weekend.

This cake is certainly real beauty and delicious. It's so simple (what is in my opinion a good thing), but tastes really great- spongy, with mild lime taste. Would taste amazing served with chocolate sauce, whipped cream or ice cream, but is really delicious just plain.

Servings: 8-10

Products:

185 gr. flour
15 gr. cornstarch
1.5 tsp baking powder
1.5 tsp ground ginger
0.25 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup (240 ml.) heavy cream
175 gr. sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Zest of 2 limes
1 tbsp lime juice
Icing sugar, for dusting

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180C. Grease 20cm round baking form.

In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder, cornstarch, ginger and salt. In another bowl, beat the eggs with an electric mixer, then add the heavy cream, sugar and vanilla extract and beat until creamy.

Add lime zest, lime juice and dry ingredients, beat until incorporated. Transfer mixture into the prepared baking form and bake for about 50-60 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow to cool in a form for 30 minutes, then remove and cool completely. Before serving dust with icing sugar.

  1. I am also tired of this week, maybe because it's the lack of energy after winter...
