Daniškas Pyragas 'Svajonė'/ Danish Dream Cake

Pagal/ Source NordicFood&Living

Mano paskutinėms dienoms Danijoje atšvęsti (deja deja, ir vėl laukia kraustymąsis kurių aš taip nemėgstu) dalinuosi tradicinio daniško pyrago receptu. Kiek teko pastebėti, pyragai čia labai mėgstami, darbovietėse jų būna beveik kasdien. Šis pyragas labai paprastas ir dėl karamelizuoto kokosinio viršutinio sluoksnio gan neįprasto skonio (bent man).

Produktai:
Pyragui:

250 gr miltų
250 gr cukraus
50 gr sviesto
3 kiaušiniai
200 ml pieno
2 a.š. kepimo miltelių
1 a.š. vanilės ekstrakto

Viršui:

125 gr sviesto
50 ml pieno
200 gr rudojo cukraus
100 gr kokoso drožlių

Gaminimo procesas:

To celebrate my last days in Denmark (unfortunately, once again I will be moving something I do no enjoy at all) I am sharing a traditional Danish cake recipe. I noticed that having cakes almost daily especially in the office is very popular. This cake is very simple and top layer of caramelized coconut tasted quite interesting.

Products:
Cake:

250 gr flour
250 gr sugar
50 gr butter
3 eggs
200 ml milk
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Top Layer:

125 gr butter
50 ml milk
200 gr brown sugar
100 gr coconut flakes

Method:

Preheat the oven to 200C. Line 25x35 cm baking form with paper baking.

In one bowl, mix the flour, baking powder. In a pan melt butter, then mix in the milk. In another bowl beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla extract.

Pour the melted butter mixture and egg mixture into the flour mixture. Mix everything until smooth. Pour the batter into the prepared baking form and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes.

For the top layer, in a thick-bottomed pan melt butter, add sugar and milk, mix and simmer for about a minute. Add coconut, mix well.

When the cake has been in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes, remove from the oven, pour on top the coconut mixture and spread it evenly. Then return the cake to the oven and bake for another 10 minutes. Cool completely before serving.
